🤫 hussh opens the Yellow Pages to every specialist, and publishes its research in the open
Proximity search across 27 kinds of specialist in all 52 major U.S. metros, alongside four original research papers — including an unsolved problem the company states it has not solved.

🤫 hussh today opened specialty search across the 🤫 Yellow Pages, its consent-first directory of local professionals. A person can now choose from 27 kinds of specialist — chiropractor, dentist, massage therapist, eye care, mental health and counseling, and more — and search by how close each one is to them, alongside insurance producers and financial professionals.
The directory holds 248,568 organizations and 616,145 named professionals across all 52 major U.S. metropolitan areas, assembled from public, cited sources. Every listing is claimable by the human it names and removable on request, with license verification performed at claim time against the authoritative regulator rather than by bulk-copying restricted registries.
Alongside the product, the company published four original research papers describing the engineering problems behind it. They include a formal model of consent as a transition system, an account of building an entity-resolution pipeline where every subject can demand deletion, and an experience report analyzing a production outage the company caused itself.
The fourth paper states a problem 🤫 hussh has not solved. The company's stated objective is eight billion useful, daily-used personal agents, while its architecture forbids the behavioral telemetry that would ordinarily measure such a thing. The paper formalizes that contradiction, proposes a construction, and names what remains open — publishing acceptance thresholds before the system exists.
The company also published its field guide, 'Own Your AI. Own Your Data. Own Your Compute,' free to read in full, including a ledger separating what is live in production today from what is blocked on a dependency and what is only in pursuit.
